Handball Australia has launched its inaugural National Participation Plan, marking an important milestone for the future growth of the sport across Australia.
The plan provides a clear roadmap for increasing participation over the next three years and has been developed through extensive consultation with State Sporting Organisations and key stakeholders. It is aligned with Handball Australia’s Strategic Plan and the Australian Sports Commission PlayWell strategy.
Focused on strong foundations, system alignment, and clear participation pathways, the plan takes a sustainable approach to growth. Central to this work is the Handball Introductory Program, which supports accessible entry points into handball through schools and communities.
The National Participation Plan is a collective plan for handball in Australia and will be delivered through collaboration across Handball Australia, State Sporting Organisations, clubs, schools, coaches, officials, and volunteers.
