Our Australian Men’s and Women’s Beach Handball teams are in New Zealand this weekend at the Oceania Beach Handball Championship. The event runs February 6-8 in Christchurch.
The event is also the qualifier for the IHF Beach Handball World Championship to be held in Croatia in June.
At the end of Day 1, our Women have won their close match 2:0 with New Zealand (18:10 / 18:16). The Aussie Men are one win from 2 matches. Their first match was the Cook Islands (32:8 / 20:13) and then a loss to NZ (16:19 / 20:25). They are pumped for the rest of the weekend.
Today sees the Aussie women play the Cook Island and the Men’s team play Kiribati.
