The Australian men’s handball team will meet United Arab Emirates for two training matches, next week in Dubai, in preparation for the 2022 Asian Men’s Handball Championship.

The training matches, to be played on 12 and 14 January, will mark Australia’s official return to the international arena since the last Asian Championship ended in Kuwait two years ago.

The team will come together in Dubai on 10 January, for a seven-day camp, that also includes a training match against Dubai Club.

Australia has been drawn in Group B of the 2022 Asian Men’s Championship alongside hosts Saudi Arabia, Iran, and India.

Australia’s campaign is set to start against Iran, when the tournament begins on 18 January, in Dammam, Saudi Arabia.
