Geelong ready to host Australian Club Championship

The Australian Club Championships for both Men and Women, and incorporating the Oceania Men’s Club qualifier for the SuperGlobe, are being held between June 2-5 in Geelong, Victoria. The event is being hosted by Handball Victoria. 

Handball Australia is pleased to announce this is the inaugural combined Men and Women’s championships, even though Men’s Championships have been held previously as part of the qualification pathway to the SuperGlobe. 

Clubs competing in the Women’s event are Sydney University and the University of Technology, Sydney (UTS) from NSW, the University of Queensland (UQ) from Brisbane, Queensland and Melbourne and Southside Clubs from Melbourne, Victoria. 

The Men’s Clubs are in two pools. Group A is West Adelaide from South Australia, St Kilda from Melbourne, Victoria and Wolves HC from Brisbane, Queensland. Group B has defending champions and 2015 SuperGlobe semi-finalists Sydney University and UTS from Sydney NSW, Deakin University  from Melbourne and Olympique de Noumea from New Caledonia.
