Australian teams qualify for the world titles
The Australian men's and women's beach handball teams have qualified, as Oceania champions, for the 2016 Beach Handball World Championship, being held on Budapest's Margaret Island (Margitsziget), in July this year.

In total, 12 teams for each gender will be vying for the world titles. The teams will be divided into two groups of six. After the preliminary round, the best three teams of each group will qualify for the main round while the teams ranked 4 to 6 will play in the consolation round.
The best four teams of the Main Round will qualify for the semifinals.
